Create, produce and perform. Create ideas, make changes without stopping, and capture everything as you work. If you've used music software before, you're already familiar with one half of Ableton Live. Live's Arrangement View is a familiar working space: time moves from left to right, while tracks are stacked vertically.

But Live also features the revolutionary Session View: a uniquesketchpad for improvising, playing and performing with musical ideas, without the constraints of the timeline. Freely and independently start and stop any number of audio or MIDI loops - everything stays in sync. Almost everything in Live works in real-time - add, reorder or remove devices, play with Live's flexible track routing and more all without interrupting your creative flow.

Ableton Live 9 new features

* Session automation: In Session View, automation can now be recorded in real time directly within clips. Automation can move together with clips between Arrangement and Session View.
* Find sounds fast: Live's new browser puts all instruments, effects, samples, and plug-ins in one easy-to-navigate view. Drag and drop folders from anywhere on your computer, search as you type and navigate from the keyboard to find everything quickly.
* Discover new sounds: Live comes with a large selection (3,500 in the Suite edition) of production-ready sounds, which were carefully crafted with the help of over 40 artists, sound designers and engineers. All sounds feature Macro controls for fast access to their most meaningful, musical parameters.
* Get your sound right: Live's studio effects have all been reworked for even better sound and usability. The Glue Compressor is a new effect - an authentic model of a legendary 1980s console bus compressor. EQ Eight has an audition mode for isolating frequencies and an expandable spectrum display. The Gate and Compressor effects feature a Gain Reduction view which shows changes in signal level over time.
* Extract music from samples: Live's new Harmony, Melody and Drums To Midi tools extract natural-feeling MIDI directly from the favourite parts of your music collection. You can also sing, tap a rhythm, play any solo instrument, then use Melody or Drums to MIDI to turn your recordings into MIDI clips that you can edit and reuse with any sound.
* Edit the details: Transpose, reverse and stretch MIDI notes or warp clip automation and add curves to automation envelopes. New tools and an improved workflow allow fast and flexible editing of musical ideas.
* Max for Live - now in Suite: The Suite edition of Live 9 comes with Max for Live and its many unique instruments, effects and tools. Max for Live itself includes 24 new devices such as a convolution reverb, new drum synthesizer instruments, MIDI echo as well as reworked versions of classics such as Step Sequencer and Buffer Shuffler 2.

Improvements and feature changes:
• Added control surface support for M-Audio Axiom Air 25, 49 and 61 keyboards.
• Added new default presets for Analog, Electric, Operator, Simpler, Sampler, Tension, Auto Filter, EQ Eight and Saturator for improved compatibility with control surfaces.
• The menu item 'View -> Detail -> Track' was renamed to 'View -> Detail -> Device'.
• Updated lessons and info texts.

Bugfixes:
• The Ableton Index process could block the GUI after launching Live.
• Fixed a bug which could decrease Live's GUI performance in sets containing a very large amount of devices.
• The Arpeggiator device could play too many notes under certain conditions.
• MIDI velocity fades would not work in an Instrument- or MIDI Effect Rack's key zone editor.
• Chains assigned to certain velocity ranges in an Instrument Rack's Velocity Zone Editor would not be triggered under certain conditions.
• Using the TAB key while renaming a track would not jump to the next track name if certain control surface scripts were enabled in the MIDI / SYNC preferences.
• The Launchpad could sometimes show artifacts of the Mixer mode in User Mode II after switching between the two modes.
• Status updates that are sent back to a MIDI controller from a control surface script could interfere with status updates from manual MIDI mappings.
• Live could crash when moving VST or AU plug-ins to a different track while the plug-in's GUI was open.
• Live could crash when closing a Live set that contains AU plug-in devices with Program Change automation.
• Live could crash when using 'undo' and 'redo' actions on non-configured plug-in parameters.
• Live could crash under certain conditions when re-enabling the audio engine if the currently loaded Live set contains VST or AU plug-ins.
• Live could crash when changing the warp mode of multiple clips at once, if one of the clips contains a .rex file.
• Live could crash when loading a Live set containing a Convolution Reverb device.
• Live could crash under certain conditions when moving an automation segment.
• Triggering an Audio-to-MIDI conversion from the browser could corrupt the Live set, if the target track was created inside a group track.
• Live could crash under certain conditions after saving a Max for Live device in the Max editor.
• Improved the text of the error message which is shown after a certain type of crash on Windows systems ("HandleStageOne" class).
• Under certain conditions, Live would show an error message after updating to a new version: "Can't access file database: database error, prepare statement: No such table: sqlite_stat1".
• The Windows installer would sometimes not install the "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable" package correctly, which could result in a "Side-by-Side Configuration Error" when trying to launch Live.
• The links to the accompanying Demo Sets in the "What's new in Live 9" Lesson would not open the correct demo set for feature-limited versions.

Changes for Push:
• It's now possible to browse user folders that were added to 'Places' in Live's Browser. Note that empty folders are hidden on Push.
• When 'Clip Workflow' mode is selected, the 'Duplicate' button now only affects the currently selected clip and not the entire scene. Shift + 'Duplicate' will Capture and Insert a scene.
• The Scene Launch Buttons would be lit even if no scene exists.
• Pressing the 'Select' button and a Scene Launch Button would fire the scene instead of just selecting it.
• When using 'Undo' after duplicating a scene, the LEDs of the previously duplicated clips would remain lit.
• Navigating Drum Rack banks using Shift + Octave Up / Down would not work correctly.
• Holding a Track Select button to unfold a group track would not work anymore.
• Under certain conditions, audio clip recording would suddenly stop when enabling the "Fixed Length" function on Push.
• Live could crash after hot-swapping a Drum Rack, if Push and another control surface script was activated in Live's MIDI/SYNC preferences.
• Live could freeze while working on a Drum Rack if the Push control surface script was selected twice in the MIDI / SYNC preference pane (1x with the "Live" port and 1x with the "User" port).

0. Close internet connection

1. Install the application by double clicking on "Setup.msi"

2. Copy "Ableton LivePatch [io].exe" from "Patch" folder and paste it
in to the installation folder. It is generally :
C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 9 Suite\Program (Attention : ProgramData)

3. RUN the patch and click on patch button.

4. Patch will create the file "Authorize.auz" in same folder. Double
click on the "Authorize.auz" to run the application.

5. Open your internet connection.

a. Go to Options - Preferences - File Folder - Max Application
and download the latest version of Max (if you like)

- It will take you to Ableton's website, and ask you to either log in, or register.
Put a random (valid) e-mail address and a password and it will let you in.
- The next page is the Serial Number page - DO NOT put any serial number there...
just wait. The download will start automatically on this page.

b. Go to Options - Preferences - Licenses Maintenance
and turn off "Get software update" and "Send user data"

There are two Trial/Reset Tools which can be applied to have an activated and working BitDefender 2014 security product:

A) The T/R Tool v1.6 by BBs,

Remember that you have to choose and run one of the two T/R Tools but never to apply both tools.

A) The T/R Tool v1.6 by BBs:

5. Restart your PC in Windows Normal Mode. At this point, BitDefender 2014 may still show to be in trial condition (30 days left) or in a registered status period of about +22500 days. Both possibilities are OK and do not do anything else.

6. If after a subsequent update, BitDefender 2014 still shows such 30 days left trial period or has returned to such condition and remains in said 30 days left trial period without any further change notwithstanding the number of days which may have elapsed since the installation date, then that will be a valid evidence that the T/R (Trial Reset) is doing fine. Nevertheless, in the hypothetical case that the number of days left of BitDefender 2014 decreases after each day has passed, then you should run again the T/R Tool v1.6 by BBs in Windows Safe Mode before the countdown reaches nil trial days left.

7. Optional check: Advance the system clock two or three months and verify if BD-W8S is working by checking that the 30 days are still left without any change.

• Save the appropriate BitDefender 2013 offline standalone installer to a location of your choice. It is recommend to save it in your desktop.

Step 2 :

Uninstall any security product (including BitDefender) which you may have installed in your PC. Almost all security products have their own uninstallers. Therefore uninstall them first and once said process has been finished, reboot your PC again in Windows Normal Mode.

ATTENTION: The new standalone "BitDefender Uninstall Tool" (BD2013_Uninstall_Tool.exe) which is compatible with any BitDefender 2013 security products and their previous versions can be downloaded from:

If for any circumstance you would like to uninstall BitDefender 2013, neither use the previous standalone uninstall tool because it is not compatible with BitDefender 2013 nor invoke the uninstaller link which carries BitDefender 2013 through "All programs" or the "Control Panel" until further notice. Simply use the new standalone "BitDefender Uninstall Tool" (BD2013_Uninstall_Tool.exe) which is previously mentioned.


Step 3 :

B) Extract the file "liQeNSoft_Bitdefender_Activator_2.0BETA5.exe" from the downloaded compressed file to your desktop and double click it (run it). A small window will pop up => Choose English language and click "OK". After a short while, another window will appear advising you that "We removed the vestiges of the previous version. You can install the new version" => click the "OK" button.

Step 4 :

• Now and without any PC rebooting, double click the BitDefender 2013 offline standalone installer that you have saved in the desktop as per Step 1.

• The installation wizard will start and guide you through the process. Do not download latest BitDefender 2013 files when you asked to during installation in order to expedite the said process.

• Once you are informed that BitDefender 2013 has been successfully installed click the "Get started" button which appears in the respective window. A new window named "Register Your Product" will appear where you should tick the radio button "I want to evaluate the product" and click the "Next" button. Make BitDefender configurations which may suit your needs the most through the various windows that pop up and when the "Login to MyBitdefender" window appears, log into your MyBitdefender account or create a new one, as it may be your case. Enter your registration data (email & password) and then click "Login to MyBitdefender" button. Now check at the bottom of your BitDefender 2013 home view that you have 30 days free use left.

• Now update your BitDefender 2013. After update is finished, reboot your PC in Windows Normal Mode and turn "Auto Update" off permanently by clicking the homonymous switch which appears in the "UPDATE" Module.

Don't forget that BitDefender accounts must be previously activated before running the Activator by Liqensoft as described in Step 5 below, by clicking the link included in the email that you should received from BitDefender in your declared email account. Therefore a real email account should be used.

IMPORTANT:

Since there have been cases that when you reboot your PC in Windows Safe Mode with Networking for running the Liqensoft Activator, the "Activate" button in the liQeNSoft Activator appears grayed out and says that it cannot find your BitDefender account, it is recommended to follow this workaround before restarting your PC In Windows Safe Mode with Networking as per Step 5:



Step 5 :

Reboot your PC in Windows Safe Mode or in Windows Safe Mode with Networking (recommended). If BitDefender 2013 has deleted the Activator by Liqensoft 2.0, extract it again in your desktop from its compressed file that should be in the desktop. Run the Activator by double-clicking it. A small window will pop up => Choose English language => OK. The Activator by Liqensoft 2.0 GUI will appear => Click the "Settings" button and select for how many years you want to have your BitDefender 2013 registered. There are two small buttons at the left of the number of years to increase or decrease them (I selected 10 years to avoid running the activator again) and click the "Save" button. Now you must click the "Activate!" button and a notification window will tell you that BitDefender 2012 or 2013 was successfully activated and you are invited to restart your computer in Normal Mode. Close the Activator by Liqensoft 2.0 and restart your PC in Windows Normal Mode and do not update BitDefender 2013.

Step 6 :

Now that you are in Windows Normal Mode, open BitDefender 2013 GUI in home view and check that at the bottom thereof the registration period you have chosen in Step 5 is duly indicated and do not update BitDefender 2013. Check that the "Auto Update" switch which appears in the "UPDATE" Module still remains permanently turned off. Don't forget to conduct a manual update at least once a week when most probably you should run again the Activator by Liqensoft in Windows Safe Mode in case your BitDefender 2013 had reverted to trial status.

TO ALL BITDEFENDER 2013 USERS - VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  Please be informed that the effects of the the Liqensoft Activator 2.0BETA5 are randomly neutralized when BitDefender 2013 is updated either automatically or manually.

Those users who had installed BitDefender 2013 and had "registered" it running the Liqensoft Activator are now facing two possible situations after they have updated BitDefender 2013 to said build because of such neutralization:

11) BitDefender 2013 has expired.

22) BitDefender 2013 has returned to a trial condition but it is still showing some registration days left.

Those BitDefender 2013 users who have the status depicted under 11) above: i.e.: BitDefender 2013 has expired, should proceed as follows:

Download (preferably to the Desktop) the Liqensoft Activator 2.0BETA5 from any of the links shown on Page 1 of this thread and run it again in Windows Safe Mode without a full uninstallation of your BitDefender 2013 and click the "Activate!" button as it is indicated in Step 5 of the "BITDEFENDER 2013 - INSTALLATION AND ACTIVATION GUIDELINES" shown on page 1 of this thread and reboot in Windows Normal Mode and check if you have got the registration period and status which you had chosen when you run the activator.

If the "Activate!" button is not enabled or after clicking it you are informed that the maneuver could not be successfully accomplished or after successfully running the activator, you reboot your PC in Windows Normal Mode and when you try to update your BitDefender 2013, same returns again to an expired status as in an endless loop, proceed as follows:

A) Disable, if feasible, the Liqensoft Activator 2.0BETA5 by running it in Windows Safe Mode and clicking the "Disable" button and then restart the PC in Windows Normal Mode.

B) Uninstall BitDefender 2013 using the "remove" link which is shipped with the program.

C) Delete manually any and all folders (hidden or not) from your HDD bearing the name of "BitDefender" as well as any and all files which they may contain. If you are not allowed to do so, simply reboot again your PC in Windows Normal Mode.

D) Run "regedit" and delete from your Windows Registry, the "Setid" key and its "Internal" sub key which are located at:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\SetId

It is possible that you may need special permission to delete the key and/or may be required conduct said maneuver in Windows Safe Mode.

E) Download again the chosen BitDefender 2013 security product from the appropriate direct link which appears on Page 1 of this thread.

F) Install BitDefender 2013 in trial mode, enter the required registration data for your "MyBitDefender" account (your previous email and password will do) and configure your BitDefender.

G) Update your BitDefender 2013 and reboot your PC whenever it is so required by BitDefender and until is running smoothly.

H) Download (preferably to the Desktop) the Liqensoft Activator 2.0BETA5 from any of the links shown on Page 1 of this thread (NOTE: you can skip this step if you have already downloaded as previously indicated and you didn't deleted).

I) Reboot your PC in Windows Safe Mode and run the Liqensoft Activator as per Step 5 of the "BITDEFENDER 2013 - INSTALLATION AND ACTIVATION GUIDELINES" shown on page 1 of this thread and reboot in Windows Normal Mode and check if you have got the registration period and status which you had chosen when you run the activator and do not update BitDefender 2013.

J) Turn "Auto Update" off permanently by clicking the homonymous switch which appears in the "UPDATE" module and conduct a manual update at least once a week by clicking the "Update Now" button in said module. This is to reduce the possibilities that your BitDefender 2013 may revert to trial status. Should that be the case then you have to run again the Liqensoft Activator in Windows Safe Mode.

Those BitDefender 2013 users who have the status depicted under 22) above: i.e.: BitDefender 2013 has returned to a trial status but it is still showing some registration days left, should only follow the indications shown in items H) through J) above.
